East Akiba Savings and Credit Society Limited was formed in 2014 by a group of eleven (11) elders from P.C.E.A Ruai East Parish, under the name of Ruai Elders Welfare Association (REWA). In 2016, the REWA officially changed its name to East Akiba Saving and Credit Society Limited to reflect the now all-inclusive membership that consisted of P.C.E.A Ruai East Parish members, individuals, groups, and other public and private institutions.
